Sooner is always better than later when it comes to our involvement in New Construction
Projects. As the Architect develops floor plans and begins to allocate space to
vertical transportation it is important to have a preliminary traffic study performed
to ensure the proper amount of elevators and escalators. This quantity along with
car speeds and openings become critical as Architects begin their budgeting process
and cannot be accurately determined without our expertise.
With the latest technology of machine room less elevators it is critical to establish
correct hoistway dimensions, as currently there is no standard based on capacity
and speed as has been the case with typical traction elevators in the past. This
variation along with different jurisdictions permitting different variances related
to the machine room less application reiterates the importance of our early involvement
in these Projects.
Our firm prides itself on having involvement from the conceptual design phase all
the way to commissioning and punchlist completion. Too often we enter into new construction
properties that were never punched out by the consultant of record and the Owner
has paid for services he never received.
